4 Way Remote Antenna Switch
with
WiFi CONTROL
and
POWER OVER COAX
This kit provides a very convenient way to select 1 of 4 HF-50MHz antennas using a small BROWSER window!
Antenna selection is via a browser on your PC, tablet or phone. Both Access Point and LAN modes are supported. So it works the same from home as it would on Field Day. This innovative design results in:
NO EXTRA WIRES! No critters munching on the cable.
NO weathering the vinyl rotor control cable insulation into crumbs.
Power (+12VDC) is supplied up the main coax using a Bias-T in the shack. In the remote switch, a similar Bias-T removes the +12VDC from the RF path to power the CPU and relays. There is very low RF loss through the Bias-Ts. Learn more about Bias T here.
Relays are modern high quality units rated for 16A and have been specially selected to have extremely short internal paths. This minimizes impedance bumps and RF loss.
Individual LEDs illuminate for each relay. There is also an option to have a single external LED flash after each select and blink according to the number of the relay selected (in case you don’t trust the browser (8-).
Included in the kit is a weather resistant enclosure. This provides protection from the critters and bugs always present in garages or sheds. Foam rubber seals the coax entrances on the bottom.
The CPU board is SMD and comes fully (SMD) assembled and programmed. No fighting with development systems. On board 3 terminal regulators provide the necessary voltages. Software accommodates both direct Access Point (AP) mode (no router required) for Field Day operation and LAN mode (via a home router). You enter your WiFi credentials in AP mode, then the unit reboots and connects to your LAN.
